This year HMSC is honoring Active Aging Week by holding a couple of events related to that in October. One of those events is an October Walk n' Talk. We invite all members to join in if your time and situation allows.

Our October Walk n' Talk event is rescheduled for Tuesday, October 18th.

We will meet by the Nakajima subway exit 3 at 10 am and enjoy socializing and walking through the park until noon. At 12:00 those of us who can go to lunch will head to the Farm to Table restaurant called TERRA.

Note: In case of bad weather, our October walk will be cancelled.

Summary

Although we almost got rained out as we gathered to start our walk, after a ten-minute downpour the sun came out and we were able to enjoy socializing and appreciating the beautiful autumn colors during our morning walk. We had seven members who were able to chat and catch up with each others' news and happenings while strolling through the park. One more member was able to join us for lunch so eight of us indulged in a delicious lunch at the Farm to table TERRA restaurant located across from the northern end of the park.
