The annual HMSC picnic will take place at Tsukisamu Park on the July 15th holiday. We will meet at the gazebo, next to the uphill parking lot, which can be entered from Hitsujigaokadori. Please refer to the map on the Tsukisamu Park website in English: https://tsukisamu-park.jp/lang/en/.

Someone will be there from 8:30 am. You are free to come and go as you please.

In general, the time from 9:00 to 11:00 will be to explore the park and/or take time to visit with each other. There are some nice walking trails throughout the large park.

From 11:00to 13:00, will be lunch time. Please bring your own food and drink.

For those coming by subway, the nearest station is Misono on the Toho line. From there you would walk to the Main Entrance of the Park, located near the pond.

In case of rain, the picnic will be held Saturday July 20. In the event of potential bad weather, there will be an email sent out to members by 8:00 on the morning of July 15th indicating whether the picnic will happen.

This event is open to members and guests. Come out and enjoy the beautiful park while socializing with others.

Summary

Sixteen members and guests, half of which were Japanese and half foreigners, gathered at Tsukisamu Park for HMSC's annual picnic. We were able to fill the four hours from 9:00 to 13:00 with much fun, laughter, chatting, eating, drinking, and walking. The weather was perfect. We are all looking forward to the September 1st 10th Anniversary event.
