Woodland Photography is Easy - a simple guide to composition
In this video entitled Woodland Photography is easy, I demonstrate how easy woodland photography actually is.
"It's a dark art, if you're not born with it you'll never learn it" What a load of rubbish! There is a simple solution to woodland photography. Just treat woodland photography as you would any other of genre and you'll soon crack it.
Most photographers squirm at the opportunity of going into the woodlands looking for things to photograph. After all, it's a chaotic place. There is a known fact that a great woodland photograph requires a great eye for compositions. Well, whilst this is true to a certain extent most people go about looking for compositions in the woods the wrong way.
Of course, there is another train of thought... think for a moment who you're taking pictures for. If it's just for you then don't beat yourself up every time you venture out. Just take pictures you like the look of. After a while, you'll soon realise the images that feel better composed than others. It will then be a lightbulb moment!
